ΟΜΑΔΑ ΙΣΟΝ ΕΝΑ
Η Ομάδα Ίσον Ένα ασχολείται συστηματικά με την πόλη και το δημόσιο χώρο/λόγο/σώμα.
Το 2009 παρουσίασε την παράσταση Χώρος Άμλετ, μια Δοκιμή να συνδεθεί ο Άμλετ του Σαίξπηρ με τα γεγονότα του Δεκεμβρίου στην Αθήνα του 2008. Η αναζήτηση αυτή συνδέθηκε με την προσπάθεια δημιουργίας ενός κοινού χώρου/ρυθμού ηθοποιών και θεατών, και παρουσιάστηκε σε θέατρα, ανοιχτούς δημόσιους χώρους και φεστιβάλ της πόλης. Το 2010 και ’11 ανέβηκε η Γλυκιά Οφηλία, το δεύτερο μέρος του δίπτυχου «Άμλετ», μια παράσταση που αναζητούσε την Οφηλία στο σώμα της πόλης και των ηθοποιών: στους δρόμους της Αθήνας, στα δέντρα που δεν υπάρχουν πια, στους μετανάστες και την κλειστή παιδική χαρά του Αγ. Παντελεήμονα, στους έρωτες, στην παιδική ηλικία. Αναζητήσαμε ιστορίες των δέντρων της πόλης. για κάθε μία από αυτές φυτέψαμε μια γαζία (“Γλυκιά Ακακία”) στην Αθήνα.
Η τρίτη παραγωγή της ομάδας, η Ιερά Οδός 2, είναι μια παράσταση-ξενάγηση που προεκτείνει την Ιερά Οδό (τον αρχαίο-νέο δρόμο που έπαιρναν οι μύστες των Ελευσινίων Μυστηρίων) στην κάθε πόλη, δημιουργώντας στον εκάστοτε χώρο και χρόνο ένα Χορό, μια νέα συλλογική απεύθυνση. Βασισμένη σε κείμενα Αγγελιαφόρων από την τραγωδία (Πέρσες Αισχύλου, Αντιγόνη Σοφοκλή, Μήδεια Ευριπίδη), θέτει το ερώτημα: Τι έχει η πόλη να μας πει και τι εμείς στην πόλη; Σύγχρονοι αγγελιαφόροι μιας ιστορίας σκληρής, όλοι μας, ποιο ‘λόγο’ απευθύνουμε, συλλογικά, στην πόλη τώρα; Τα αρχαία κείμενα συμπληρώνονται με σύγχρονα, ή το αντίστροφο: κείμενα ξεναγήσεων, λίγες στροφές από τον Κάλβο, αφηγήσεις ηθοποιών, κείμενα εφημερίδων.
Η παράσταση παίχτηκε για δύο χρόνια (2011-2) σε πέντε διαφορετικές εκδοχές και τρεις πόλεις (Αθήνα, Ρώμη, Ιεράπετρα). Το 2013 η Ομάδα παρουσίασε στη Ρώμη (Απρίλιος, Sapienza, Università di Roma) και την Αθήνα (Μάιος, Άλσος Παγκρατίου) το Χορικό, βασισμένο στο πρώτο στάσιμο της Αντιγόνης του Σοφοκλή, με δύο διαφορετικές εκδοχές/ομάδες.
Ο Γιόζεφ Μπόις είπε: «Η επανάσταση είμαστε εμείς». Και η ιστορία, επίσης.
Σεμινάρια
Η Ομάδα και η Ι. Ρεμεδιάκη έχουν παρουσιάσει τα σεμινάρια: Ο Λόγος ως Παρτιτούρα (2008), To be or not to be. Is there a question? (2008, ευρωπαϊκό), Άμλετ-Οφηλία. Ρίγος από βαθιές καμπάνες πληγωμένες (2009), 11-2.Το Πολιτικό στο Θέατρο (2009-10), Το Σώμα της Πόλης (2011-3) και Σύν-τροφη (2012 κεξ), με τα δύο τελευταία να συμβαίνουν στους δρόμους και τους δημόσιους χώρους διαφόρων πόλεων/χωρών.
Σκηνοθέτης-συγγραφέας της Ομάδας είναι η Ιωάννα Ρεμεδιάκη.
Άξονας και σκεπτικό της Ομάδας Ίσον Ένα είναι η δημιουργία συμβάντων, δηλαδή η αναζήτηση του πολιτικού στην τέχνη, με την έννοια της σχέσης, του πραγματικού γεγονότος. Πολιτικό, πολίτης, πόλη. Συμπολίτης, συμπαίκτης, σύντροφος.
Τι θέατρο θέλουμε να κάνουμε; Ένα θέατρο/χώρο όπου θα μιλάμε πραγματικά, θα κοιτάμε πραγματικά, θα γελάμε πραγματικά, θα σωπαίνουμε πραγματικά. Ένα θέατρο γεγονότων, στο οποίο οι θεατές έχουν ενεργό ρόλο. Η πόλη, η ιστορία αποτελεί βασικό μας πλαίσιο, σταθερή αναφορά. Δεν υπάρχει εγώ χωρίς εσύ, δεν υπάρχει παρελθόν χωρίς παρόν, ομοιότητα χωρίς διαφορά. Υπάρχει η συνάντηση, η σκηνή.
Θέλουμε να ανακαλύψουμε πράγματα που θα μας δώσουν χαρά, θέλουμε να κάνουμε το θέατρο περισσότερο αναγκαίο.

Ιωάννα Ρεμεδιάκη
Σπουδές Κλασικής Φιλολογίας, Θεατρολογίας (Μεταπτυχιακό και Διδακτορικό Δίπλωμα, θέμα: «Οι Μεταφράσεις της Αντιγόνης του Σοφοκλή στη Νεοελληνική Σκηνή (1850-2000)», και υποκριτικής. Σεμινάρια σκηνοθεσίας στο Internationale Heiner Müller Gesellschaft του Βερολίνου. Έχει γράψει, σκηνοθετήσει και παρουσιάσει τις performance: Το Τραπέζι (2006-7), Εκσκαφή Κενού (2007, 2008) Ιστορίες του Μουσείου (2008), Χώρος Άμλετ (2009), Γλυκιά Οφηλία (2010, 2011), Ιερά Οδός 2 (2011-2)και Χορικό (2013), στην Αθήνα, το Βερολίνο, το Ναύπλιο, την Ιεράπετρα και τη Ρώμη, σε θέατρα, μουσεία, πανεπιστήμια, φεστιβάλ και ανοιχτούς δημόσιους χώρους. Έχει οργανώσει και διδάξει σεμινάρια υποκριτικής για τους Χ. Μύλλερ, Μπρεχτ, Σαίξπηρ και την Τραγική Ποίηση, με τη συχνή συνεργασία Ευρωπαίων σκηνοθετών. Δίδαξε Ιστορία του Θεάτρου της Αρχαιότητας στα Πανεπιστήμια Αθηνών, Ιωαννίνων (Αγρίνιο), Πελοποννήσου (Ναύπλιο), και στη Δραματική Σχολή του Εθνικού Θεάτρου. Είναι ιδρύτρια και καλλιτεχνική διευθύντρια της θεατρικής Ομάδας Ίσον Ένα, και τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια δούλεψε στη Ρώμη, σε συνεργασία με την εκεί Ελληνική Πρεσβεία και το Teatro Valle Occupato. Είναι λέκτορας στο Τμήμα Θεατρικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

GROUP EQUALS ONE
The intention of the group is to create the requirements for things to happen initially on the theatrical stage and in extension in life. Its activities include two parallel subjects: the process of performances and the instruction of actors. The axis of the effort is the creation of events, that is, the quest of ‘politic’ in art, in the sense of the relation, the real event. Our vocabulary is the political element, the citizen, the city in its function as a co-citizen, a co-player, a companion. Words of action and reaction rather, once in theatre all is a reaction to something, even silence.
The group presented the performance Space Hamlet.Testing in 2009, an attempt of connecting Hamlet with the strong events of December in Athens 2008 and the request for configurating the artistic event jointly with the public, in closed and open public spaces of the city. In 2010 it presented Sweet Ophelia -the second part of the ‘Hamlet diptych’-, a performance looking for and “discovering” Ophelia in the body of the city and in the bodies of four actresses: in the streets of Athens, in its no longer existing trees, in the immigrants, in our loves, in our childhood. In this context we plant 11 Sweet Acacias in the streets of Athens. The third production of the group, Sacred Way 2, which began June 2011 in Athens and keeps one, with performances in Roma (July 2011, June 2012) and Ierapetra/Creta (August 2011), is a sight-seeing tour/performance. It 'extends' the Sacred Way (the ancient-modern street of the Eleusinean Mysteries) in every city, now. Βased in texts of Messengers from the Ancient Greek Drama (Aeschylus’ Persians, Sophocles’ Antigone and Euripides’ Medea), as well as in modern texts from newspapers, poems, and personal stories, the performance pose the question: What is this, that we want to say to the city now, and the city to us? By that we want to create a “horos/chorus” of citizens, together with the audience. At 2013 the group presented the Chorico/Choral Song, based on the first stasimon of Sophocles' Antigone, in Rome (Sapienza, Università di Roma) and Athens (at Pagrati grove), with two different forms and groups of actors.

Ioanna Remediaki
Ioanna Remediaki holds an MA in Classical Literature and a BA and PhD in Theatre Studies (thesis: “The translations of Sophocles’ Antigone’ for the Modern Greek Stage (1850-2000)”). She is the Artistic Director of the theatre company “Group Equals One” and Lecturer of Greek Drama, Department of Theatre Studies, University of Athens. She has written, directed and performed the plays: The Table, Vacuum’s Excavation, Museum Stories, Space Hamlet, Sweet Ophelia, Sacred Way 2 and Chorico in Greece, Italy and Germany, in theatres, museums, festivals and open public spaces.
